一. Main uses
Measure the bearing capacity of various lubricants (lubricating oil, grease and solid lubricating film) : Compare the maximum test force that the lubricant can withstand before the oil film breaks under the specified test conditions.
Measure the wear resistance of various metal and non-metal materials under sliding friction: the wear resistance of materials is evaluated by the change of weight and size of the specimen before and after the test, the change of the width of the wear mark on the test block, and the change of the friction force during the test.
By measuring the friction to calculate the friction coefficient of the material: the machine through the lever system can directly measure the friction between the ring blocks, can change the test parameters (load, linear speed, lubrication conditions) in the case, calculate the friction coefficient under different working conditions.
