The 2018 Shaanxi Mechanical Engineering Society Tribology Annual Meeting was held in Xi 'an Jiaotong University

The 2018 Shaanxi Mechanical Engineering Society Tribology Annual Meeting was held in Xi 'an Jiaotong University (Xingqing Campus) Yifu Science Museum on November 24. More than 100 experts and scholars from universities, research institutes and related enterprises in and outside Shaanxi Province gathered together to exchange the latest progress of tribology and discuss the key technical issues of tribology application. The conference was hosted by the Tribology Branch of Shaanxi Provincial Mechanical Engineering Society and hosted by the Key Laboratory of Modern Design and Rotor Bearing System of the Ministry of Education, the School of Mechanical Engineering, and the Institute of Design Science and Basic Components of Xi 'an Jiaotong University.
The meeting officially started at 9 am on November 24, 2018. Ren Guoliang, Executive Vice chairman of Shaanxi Provincial Mechanical Engineering Society, delivered a speech. He introduced the composition and development history of Shaanxi Provincial Mechanical Engineering Society, and affirmed the work of Provincial Tribology Branch for many years. It serves to promote the development of productivity and promote the transformation of China from a manufacturing country to a strong country. Professor Shao Jinyou, deputy dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, delivered a speech, he said that Xi 'an Jiaotong University has taken root in the field of tribology for a long time, and the older generation of scholars have made great contributions to tribology research, and pointed out that the school has added the Institute of Design Science and Basic Components when the department is reshaped, hoping that tribology will be further developed. Professor Wu Tonghai, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Modern Design and Rotor Bearing System of the Ministry of Education, delivered a speech. Academician Xie Youbai, Professor Zhu Jun and Professor Qiu Damou, pioneers of tribology research of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, have made outstanding contributions to the field of lubrication theory, bearing rotor system and friction and wear as practitioners of the "Spirit of moving West". Wang Yifeng, Chief engineer of Hande Axle Co., Ltd. delivered a speech as the only vice chairman of the sixth Tribology Branch from a large state-owned enterprise, and pointed out that Hande benefited from the promotion and application of advanced tribology technology from Xi 'an Jiaotong University.
Academic presentations and seminars will be held after the opening ceremony. The morning presentation was chaired by Professor Lv Yanjun of Xi 'an University of Technology. Professor Yuan Chengqing, winner of the Outstanding Youth Fund of Wuhan University of Technology (Title: Research on Tribological Properties of water-lubricated materials), Professor Wang Jianmei, Chairman of the Shanxi Friction Society of Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, and Executive Deputy Director of the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Heavy Machinery of Education (Title: Research Progress in Tribology of Key Basic Parts of Major equipment transmission Systems), Professor Lu Jinjun, Northwest University (Title: New Challenges of solid Lubrication: Developing New Materials or Serving Advanced Manufacturing?) Professor Jia Junhong of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology (title: Design of metal-based wide temperature range composites - in situ decomposition of AgTMxOy phase and friction-induced regeneration) made a wonderful keynote report, and the speech was simple and profound. The participants listened carefully and exchanged ideas actively.
In the afternoon, two academic presentations were hosted by Professor Wang Chengbing of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology and Associate Professor Wang Wei of Xi 'an University of Architecture and Technology. Eight young researchers from Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Xi 'an Electronic Science and Technology University, Xi 'an University of Technology, Xi 'an University of Architecture and Technology, and Baoji College of Arts and Sciences brought about the research and development of new high-performance environmentally friendly synthetic lubricants (Professor Fan Mingjin of Baoji College of Arts and Sciences), tribology monitoring technology of equipment lifetime operation (Professor Wu Tonghai of Xi 'an Jiaotong University), Plastic forming of high temperature titanium alloy and its friction and lubrication mechanism (Associate Professor Wang Wei, Xi 'an University of Architecture and Technology), mechanism and experimental study of controllable high speed and low temperature mechanical seal (Associate Professor Zhang Guoyuan, Xidian University), tribological behavior and control of graphene embedded nanosurface (Associate Professor Yang Lei, Xi 'an Jiaotong University), Basic science research of rolling bearing (Associate Professor Yan Ke, Xi 'an Jiaotong University) Prof. Jia Lei, Associate Professor of Xi 'an University of Technology, and other special reports on the design of surface texture layout on slider bearings (Dr. Hui Zhang, Xi 'an Jiaotong University), strengthening and toughening behavior of in-situ synthesis (TiC+TiB) /Ti composite materials. At the same time, technicians from Rtec Instrument Technology Company and Anton Paar (China) Co., Ltd. also made a report on the development and application of advanced tribological testing technology and the application of nanoparticles in lubricating oil combined with enterprise instruments and equipment.
Finally, Professor Jia Junhong from Shaanxi University of Science and Technology delivered the closing speech for the conference. He pointed out that the annual meeting of the Tribology Branch will be an important annual academic event in the field of tribology in Shaanxi Province in the future, providing an open and shared communication platform for tribology workers in Shaanxi Province and the surrounding areas. It will play an important role in promoting theoretical innovation, method application, achievement promotion, discipline construction, personnel training, scientific popularization and the development and reform of the society in Shaanxi Province and even in China in tribology and related fields, and also reflect the purpose of the society based on Shaanxi, serving Shaanxi and radiating the surrounding areas. This annual meeting is held at a time when the Western China Science and Technology Innovation Port is in the connotation construction stage, which will help Xi 'an Jiaotong University's mechanical discipline "double first-class" construction. With the goal of creating a world-class mechanical discipline, the School of Mechanical Engineering of Xi 'an Jiaotong University is committed to training outstanding senior scientific and technical personnel in the field of mechanical engineering for the country, carrying out research and development of high and new technologies in the field of mechanical engineering, and promoting China's machinery industry to catch up with the world's advanced level. The College of Mechanical Engineering has been rooted in the field of tribology for a long time.
